Description
Hawker undertook feasibility testing of a cannon armed Hurricane MK I (L1750) fitted with a Swiss 20 mm OerliKon gunin fairing mounted under each wing. The first flight was made on 24 May 1939, with the aircraft being tested at A & AEE and operational trials being conducted by No. 151 Squadron.
